Aurora, Colorado, United States I've decided to sell my 1997 Firehawk -- it's been a great nine years. I'm the original owner; I personally ordered it from the factory. I've kept it completely stock (I was somewhat afraid to hurt it) except for a K&N air filter. It's an ultra-rare "bright silver metallic" coupe with T-tops. Only 163 Firehawks were made in 1997, and only 16 silver coupes! (See firehawk.org for build statistics.) It has low miles, it's very clean, and it looks great. If you are unfamiliar with the SLP Firehawk, it starts with a Formula Firebird from Pontiac, and then goes to Street Legal Performance, where numerous modifications are done to turn it into a monster muscle car. If you think this is just a Trans-Am with a ram-air package, you've got some things to learn. The enhancements do start with the cold-air forced induction hood, but then they go much further: new exhaust system, new shifter, new differential, new wheels, new tires, new hood, and various cosmetic enhancements. I'd say the biggest difference is the suspension. It's so much more responsive, so much more satisfying in the Firehawk. It feels more like an extension of me and less like a boat. It's been amazingly reliable. The only parts I've replaced over the years are the battery, the water pump, and the serpentine belt. When it was delivered from the factory, there was a small oil leak that the dealer corrected. Nothing else has ever gone wrong.
